Getting started¶
Welcome to Fika! This guide will help you get started with getting leverage and tokenizing your position through the platform.
Network Support¶
Fika supports multiple networks within the Ethereum ecosystem. For now, it's only available on Arbitrum. If you'd like to see Fika on other networks, please let us know on X.
To get started, ensure your wallet is connected to Arbitrum. You can switch networks directly through the network selector in the top navigation bar.
Connecting Your Wallet¶
- Click "Connect" in the top right corner
- Choose your preferred wallet:
- MetaMask
- Uniswap Wallet
- WalletConnect & Others
Your wallet will prompt you to: - Connect to the app - Switch to a supported network (if needed)
Authentication¶
Fika uses your wallet for authentication. Once connected: - Your wallet address serves as your identity - Your session remains active until you disconnect - All transactions require wallet confirmation
Your First Trade¶
1. Select a Collateral Token¶
This a token that you own, and you'll build a leveraged position in that direction (long position). - Enter the amount of collateral you want to use. - Choose the token pair you want to trade (long/short): for now, since you already determined your 'long asset' (collateral), you can only choose a 'short asset' (debt) against it.
2. Set Leverage¶
- Select your desired leverage with the slider (max leverage varies based on collateral token and lending liquididy source).
- Higher leverage means higher potential returns but also higher risk.
- The interface will show your output position size.
3. Execute Trade¶
- Review position details
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet
- Wait for transaction confirmation
4. Monitor Position¶
After opening a position, you can: - Track its performance in the Positions tab. - Close the position when ready by clicking anywhere in the position row.
